Complaint about Balladins Superior Charleroi

December 23, 2011 I book Balladins Superior Hotel at Charleroihotel through Booking.com. We´re going to Tenerife in February for a week and 2 years ago we could park our car here for free for 2 weeks. When booking I mentioned that I want a week´s free parking at the hotel. The confirmation comes, including my observation. After reading a negative review about it calculated Balladins Superior Hotel parking costs, at the beginning of February I asked via e-mail for a confirmation that I can park for free. Arrived at Balladins Superior Hotel I get told that only one night free parking was included in the reservation, and I had to pay €. 59, - extra! I had no escape because the environment is nothing and the next morning I only could use the (for a fee of 4, - pp) when I had payed for parking. It is clear that this is a rehearsed trick, and that it is regularly used to generate additional revenues. My printed confirmation in Dutch which stated that I had agreed a week´s free parking they could not read, They only speak and read French and English. When we came back from vacation we contacted Booking.com, and after some urging Booking took its responsibility and have now repaid me.
Do not book this hotel! There are enough good alternatives on this spot. Make sure you get a confirmation as to indicate for which period you may park there. Included in the price otherwise only the night of stay.
